SONA- AZOTOBACTER fertiliser: is a very useful Nitrogen Fixing Bio-Fertiliser. The product is made with the use of microorganism Azotobacter. As Azotobacters are the free living organisms, capable of fixing Nitrogen from atmosphere. After being mixed in the soil the product causes enrichment of Nitrogen which is being utilized by the crop for their growth and development. The speciality of Sona Azotobacter is that it is cultured in Sugarcane spent and Mushroom.

Some of the Azotobacter species confer an additional advantage since they are known to produce antibiotics, which suppress a variety of root pathogens. SONA AZO contributes to the fixation of Nitrogen as well as production of growth promoting substances, promoting seedling vigour and prolonged photosynthetic activity.

Benefits : Nearly 30-50% of N Fertiliser application can be reduced through Azotobacter inoculation. An economy of 30-35 kg N/ha is obtained with this application in addition to Nitrogen fixation in several non- leguminous crops, Azotobacter also produces and deposits a number of biologically active metabolites like B-Vitamins, IAA, GA and Cytokinins which helps in plant growth. Besides these, it also increases mineralisation of fixed Phosphate and activity of beneficial rhizosphere bacterias such as Ammonifiers, Nitrifiers, Nitrogen fixers, Phosphate Solubilizers and Cellulose decomposers.

These bacteria also secrete some anti fungal, anti biotics, which may contribute to the improvement of seed germination and root growth.
